Refund Policy

At SettleKar, we aim to provide fast, transparent, and reliable legal-notice services.

 

This Refund Policy explains when a refund may or may not be issued for services purchased on the Platform.

 

  1. No Refund Once Drafting/Review Begins

 

Once a partner advocate has started reviewing your documents or drafting your legal notice, the service is considered “initiated” and no refund can be issued. This applies because SettleKar assigns a licensed advocate and professional time is immediately involved.

 

  1. Refund Before Service Initiation

 

You may request a refund only if:

  1. SettleKar has not assigned your matter to a partner lawyer, and
  2. No document review or drafting work has begun.

 

 

  1. Service Failure by SettleKar

 

A full refund will be issued if:

  1. SettleKar is unable to allocate a partner advocate, or
  2. Your notice cannot be drafted or issued due to reasons attributable to SettleKar.

 

This does not include delays caused by user inaction, incomplete documents, or postal delays.

 

  1. No Refund for Outcome-Based Dissatisfaction

 

Refunds cannot be issued for the following reasons:

  1. Your debtor does not respond
  2. Your debtor refuses to pay
  3. The matter escalates or requires litigation
  4. Postal delays or failed delivery
  5. You change your mind after drafting begins

 

SettleKar provides a legal notice service, not a guarantee of recovery.

 

  1. Duplicate or Failed Payments

 

If a payment is:

  1. accidentally made twice, or
  2. fails but the amount is deducted,

the excess amount will be refunded to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

 

  1. Lawyer Onboarding Fee

 

The onboarding fee for verifying partner advocates is non-refundable once:

  1. documents have been submitted, or
  2. verification has begun.

 

  1. How to Request a Refund

 

Send an email to: contact@settlekar.com with:

  1. Your full name
  2. Mobile number
  3. Payment ID
  4. Reason for refund request

 

Refund requests are processed within 3–5 working days, and approved refunds are credited within 5–7 working days.

 

  1. Governing Law

 

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to jurisdiction of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
